Dr. Krystyne Mendoza, PhD, LPC, NCC, RPT-S, is the founder of Pathway Play Therapy Training, PLLC, where her mission is to equip mental health professionals with the tools, confidence, and inspiration to integrate play therapy into their practice. With a career dedicated to empowering both children and clinicians, Dr. Mendoza combines academic expertise with real-world clinical insight to deliver training sessions that are as engaging as they are transformative.

A Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Registered Play Therapist, Dr. Mendoza has developed a training style that is warm, dynamic, and deeply practical. Her approach weaves together trauma-informed care, strength-based strategies, and Jungian play therapy principles, ensuring that each participant leaves with skills they can immediately apply in their work.

How are trainings delivered?

We offer both in-person sessions in Colorado and live virtual trainings for participants nationwide. Each event is designed to be interactive, practical, and easy to apply in your own practice.

How do I register and pay for a training?

You can register directly through our website. Simply select your desired training from the “Upcoming Trainings” page, complete the online form, and submit payment securely through Square. A confirmation email will be sent to you immediately.

Can I cancel or transfer my registration?

Yes. Cancellations and transfers are handled in accordance with our posted policy, which is available at the time of registration. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

Will training materials be provided?

Yes. Participants receive a digital training packet, which may include slides, worksheets, case examples, and resource lists. These materials are yours to keep for future reference.

Cancellation
Cancellation by Participants
1. Cancellation Requests
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to PathwayPTT@pcs19.com
- The date the request is received will determine the eligibility for a refund.
2. Refund Schedule
- More than 30 days before the training start date: Full refund, minus a $25 administrative fee.
- 15–30 days before the training start date: 50% refund of the registration fee.
- Less than 15 days before the training start date: No refunds will be issued.
3. Non-Refundable Fees
- Certain fees, such as materials or shipping costs, are non-refundable.
4. Transfer Option
- Participants may transfer their registration to a future training date (if available) or to another individual up to 7 days before the training start date. A $25 transfer fee will apply.
Cancellation by Pathway Play Therapy Training, PLLC
1. Program Changes or Cancellations
- Pathway Play Therapy Training, PLLC reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a training due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances.
- If a training is canceled, participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered the choice of a full refund or a transfer to another training date without additional fees.
2. Force Majeure
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, public health emergencies), refunds may be issued at the discretion of Pathway Play Therapy Training, PLLC.
Refund Processing
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of the approved cancellation request.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.
